When compared to the Western Medical systems, which arguably has only been around since the mid 1800’s or so, the Chinese or alternative medicine offers a lot to consider and a great deal of value.

Essentially, Meridians are paths through which energy, or life-energy, flows throughout the body. All living beings have an energy and most people somewhat familiar with Meridians are initially introduced to it via acupuncture or acupressure. However, there are a few ways to affect the Meridians, including Biofeedback, in addition to acupressure/acupuncture. There are several Meridians throughout the body, and depending on where the trouble is, that is typically where the practitioner focuses their treatment(s).

So, what are Meridians? For humans, dogs and horses there are 14 Principle Meridians. One main Meridian which runs along the spine, and a second main Meridian which runs along the center midpoint of the body. Then there are 12 additional Meridians associated with various organs. Each Meridian which is associated with an organ, is broken down to two categories depending on whether it is a hollow or solid organ. Organ’s including the heart, pericardium, lung, spleen, liver and kidney are referred to as the yin organs. While the stomach, gallbladder, large and small intestines, urinary bladder and tri-heater (or triple burner) are the yang organs. Each hollow or solid organ interacts and extends along a particular extremity, for example an arm or leg. Meridians allow for the flow, or circulation, of energy throughout the body. Each Meridian has multiple acupuncture points along its’ pathway.

When energy flows freely, the body stays healthy. However, due to outside factors like stress, Meridians can become sluggish or clogged and invite illness or disease. Keep in mind, stress can be caused in many forms including a physical injury, an emotional trauma (from a training mishap, perhaps) or an illness. Addressing the body’s impacted Meridians can return a person and animal back to improved health.

To learn more or schedule an appointment in our Central Arkansas facility in Conway, please call or text Joslyn at 940-536-8988 or to schedule mobile services for humans and/or animals please call or text Ashley at 903-357-2927

Biofeedback - Great for People, Horses & Pets!

https://www.elite-enterprises.net/blog/biofeedback-great-for-people-horses-pets

https://www.elite-enterprises.net/blog/biofeedback-great-for-people-horses-pets#comments

Uncategorized

Biofeedback is the perfect way to help get those senior pets back to feeling like their old selves! The main goal of Biofeedback is self-regulation of the body at a cellular level.

Cells work together in the body to create a symbiotic balance and harmony. Stress, both physical and mental, produces erratic vibrations that lead to disharmony which can then lead to injury and disease. Stress triggers an alarm response in the body which will provoke symptoms. Stress can come from may sources, including emotional issues, toxicity, trauma, nutritional deficiencies, allergens, habits, heredity and pathogens. Excess stress is the pathway to disease.

Biofeedback may be used to improve health and performance via the physical changes that occur at the cellular level. The “Biofeedback” developed from scientific discoveries that showed humans and animals have the innate ability for self-control of both physical (body) and mental processes. The biofeedback science was adopted in 1969 and has been approved by the FDA for its ability to regulate body systems.

The type of biofeedback performed by Elite Enterprises technicians is called Quantum Biofeedback. This type of biofeedback works to assess the human energy field using a computerized system. The L.I.F.E. Biofeedback system we use recognizes 7,400 stressors in the body.

What can Biofeedback do for you and your animals?

Identify areas of stress, then re-educates muscles to release tension.

May help improve sleep and increase energy.

May help balance the mind/body connection.

May improve symptoms/responses with autoimmune flareups.

May improve chronic pain, sports injuries, blood pressure and disease management.

May improve endurance, athletic performance and cognitive function.

May help with emotional response, attention regulation, depression and PTSD management.

To learn more or schedule an appointment in our Central Arkansas facility in Conway, please call or text Joslyn at 940-536-8988 or to schedule mobile services for humans and animals please call or text Ashley at 903-357-2927
